That’s the easiest sum you could ever hope to figure out. When Ridley is feeling dark, moody and mysterious, it’s usually a good sign. The British doyen of chilling, atmospheric and visually epic films is returning to his old haunt of Science Fiction with the highly anticipated release of Prometheus, set to slowly seduce cinema screens this June.

Not since Blade Runner back in 1982 (the benchmark for all Sci-fi films) has Scott genuinely visited the genre that propelled him into heavyweight directing territory. Last Sunday night saw the release of the international trailer for Prometheus; shown on Channel 4 at peak advertising time and then unleashed across the web just moments afterwards. Enigmatic, dark, distinctively decadent, full of action and heavy on philosophy, with a few spaceships thrown in for good measure, the new trailer hinted at a brilliantly structured plot without giving away too much. Classic Scott.
